GPS does not work

Hi folks,

Recently just detected my GPS wont work anymore, previously use iGO for some time and it is working well. Just last week detected it wont detect GPS satellite signal from iGO. Tested using Papago X5, wont work as well.

I suspect the satellite itself went down, anybody can face this kind of issue before ? Or can intro me a software to test if my GPS satellite still working ?

Try downloading this app - GPS Status - and then go out to some open place. And then launch the app and see if it can get a fix on some satellites.

And about your suspecting that the sattelite went down... There are 31 GPS satellites orbiting the earth, so i dont think you should be worried about one of them shutting down :]]]

Thanks for the info Fish-Bone, I have downloaded the Apps, but how can I make sure that my GPS is working fine, I suspect that my phone GPS antenna has gone down...many thanks.

If you get a fix on at least 5-6 sattelites, then gps is working fine.

Thanks man, I tried the app, get 2 in building with weak (yellow) signal, and get 7-8 at outdoor with 2-3 strong (green) signal, I guess my GPS software went wrong, will keep trying.

Now I know where to check..
