Root Kindle app does not work with Velocity 0.3

The Kindle app doesn't work in Velocity 0.3. It worked fine in stock ROM. I can download a book but when I try to read it, I get an error that it can't open the book. This happens with books I have on my archive list as well as new downloads. Any ideas?

This is not exactly about the kindle app but I can't get KiK Messenger to work on Velocity 0.3 either. If i restore to stock I'm able to run it. I don't know what in the rom is causing some apps not to work. I reached out to Trident a few weeks back but never got a reply. I know he is busy so hopefully when Velocity 0.4 comes out there is no problem

Simple answer: 0.3 is built off of ZVB which has been known to break a lot of apps. This could be the reason that Kindle and KiK aren't working.

I dunno what to think. I'm on stock ZVB with drell's turbo OC kernel, and my wife's Ally has out of the box ZV8, with the same turbo OC kernel applied. Some of the ebooks work, but many do not. I'm researching why they do not, and I can't seem to redownload them to see if it's a corrupted download. I'll let you guys know if I come up with anything.

A lot of times with Kindle I have to delete the book from my phone and redownload it from the website, any time i uninstall and reinstall, or in your instance, flashing a rom. I have no problem with Kindle running Velocity .3 with custom kernel. I do however have a problem with kik and have only been able to login to it one time over the last two months. And that one time I couldn't search for anyone. Now it won't even let me login. I say screw Kik, they are new, but they have too much hype, no mms to me means garbage. Hopefully the above helps you with kindle, sorry if it does not.

Edit**: Download the book from the amazon.com website on a computer, don't use your phone to search for books.
