i purchased my first android product today for my sons xmas present and the guy at toys r us said the new batch of them would come with google android 2.2

i have bought the elonex etouch 10" tablet

Elonex :: eTouch Tablets 1000ET & 700ET

it didnt come with android 2.2 so i updated on the elonex website and it boosted it to v2.1 which is still no good to me as the main reason for buying it was that i was assured flash would work on websites as it would have android 2.2 and my son could play his favourite game site club penguin which as it stands he cant

is there any way of putting v.2.2 onto my sons tablet or making flash work on websites when running v2.1.I know you can watch youtube through a youtube app so is there an app to enable flash.

sory if im talking like a complete idiot im totaly new to this and so far have only ever dealt with windows and a bit of linux and any help or info will be appreciated.

i dare say due to how these things are selling in the uk there will be many more asking this question lol

There is ALWAYS a way to do it, it just depends on how much hacking you want to do to it. You would have to find a way to root it, then find a rom thats compatible with that device and that has 2.2 on it.

Honestly, I would just take it back then. If the guy lied to you, you have every right to return it. Not trying to sound rude, but I would never buy any kind of electronics from a toy store.
