problems with my mytouch slide

Is anyone having problems with your screen turning into what looks like a slot machine? My phone first started doing this to me when I would text with the keyboard. Then I started using the on screen key board...now I cant even unlock my phone cause the screen seems to be ...slipping I guess.. Currently using my G1..calling T mobile in the morning...... Any suggestions?

Wow, my first one worked just fine. Sure, it had the wobbles, but all of them did. Then it started to not let me make outgoing calls, but rooting fixed that problem. I was getting to no signal bulls**t too, but again, rooting fixed it. I wouldn't count on that fix ing all your problems, though.
Hey, is anyone's battery door really squeeky? Mine is really irritating right behind all my Home, Menu, and Back buttons, and I can't take it back now. :( anyone know where I can find a replacement door?

Glad I'm not the only one getting aggravated with this phone. My phone drops calls constantly at least twice a day. The signal fades randomly, my texts will and won't send at random, and my phone will reset itself whenever it feels like it. I haven't called to complain about it yet because I keep thinking to myself that maybe it will get better. Guess I'm wrong.

lol me too... i work for sprint but im trying my best to stay with tmobile... i wish that they would listen to our issues and do something about it... meto pcs just got a 90% 3g coverage area in the us what the hell... dats messed up... come on tmobile we can do this...

Jeez your lucky. Mine wobbles really bad, even though it doesn't bug me too much. So seriously, am I the ONLY one with a squeaky battery door? I'm gonna need to buy a new one... :(

I will tell you this.

Electrical tape works wonders.

One strip on the bottom below the battery (be sure to cut a place for the mic) and one strip down the left side starting from the top of the battery all the way to the camera button. No more squeaking battery cover.

I read all the posts and wow it sucks that many of you have experienced problems. I've only experienced out of order text msgs and that's it, and I'm on my first phone. Handcent fixed the order. I was thinking about exchanging it since two letters keyboard buttons are not consistently lit up with the rest of the keyboard buttons, but I'd much rather have inconsistent lit up keyboard buttons rather than dropped calls, frozen screen, or random shutdowns that I might get from exchanging for a refurbished (2nd hand, 3rd hand, 4th hand?) phone. I don't wanna get a fixed now because what if they freakin' exchange my phone on purpose. No thanks!

my phone has minor issues that I realize now after reading some of the replies thinking "hey, me too"...

nothing TOO bad, however..

I'm on my first, which was an original June release, and it's been good to me..

Well I spoke too soon, I'm starting to have the random loss of signal, and the phone won't dial out. I noticed I don't get EDGE, Its either 3G (which is running incredibly fast right now), or no signal at all ("x" next to the signal bars), and it'll switch back and forth between 3G and no signal once a minute, it seems...

my only question is since I didn't get insurance on it, am I screwed if anything major happens like some of you guys?

still wondering about this question, and do I need to have insurance to get a replacement?

On the outside of the battery cover or along the inside? I wanna try it...

on the phone under the battery cover. Here is mine.

No if its a mechanical defect they will exchange it under warranty.

Thanks!

But it seems I spoke too soon AGAIN.!!

Once I deleted a few texts, BAM, EDGE popped right up, 3G is fine and everything's peachy..

I noticed it was an MMS that failed to download, once I deleted it, everything's fine again..

Weird, but my phone's fine........for now.

well I just read everyone's issues on the Mytouch 3G... you are definitively not alone... I searched the web today for the same reasons....

I am on my 5TH Mytouch about to call TMobile for another one. it is crazy to read that some of you are on your 7th phone...I have had my phone since it came out in June 2010 and it seems that it is every month or so that this stupid phone starts to act up by doing the following...

  • dropped calls (anytime, anywhere)
  • mixed up text message threads
  • goes from service to no service, airplane mode or sometimes it just restarts by itself.
  • it also copied my contacts five times each, now I have 5x the same person.
This phone is an awesome phone (for the first 30 days or so) then it craps... Why? I honestly don't know what to do, TMobile keeps sending me a new phone each time, and it really sucks to reload and reinstall all of my info every time this happens.

Anyone got anything on this issue?

HAS ANYONE BEEN OFFERED A REAL SOLUTION TO THIS??? (besides getting a new phone)

I would like to hear from you.
