You can put them in a folder and name it ZZZ and it will put them at the back of your Gallery.

If you want to block photo's from showing up in the Gallery on your phone or exclude from the media scanning, all you need do is create a file .nomedia and put it in the directory you want.

Simply open notepad then File Save as.. and at the bottom where it says Save as type change it All Files and name it .nomedia

Thats the standard android way. There are also some apps you can get to hide pics on a more dynamic basis too!

Agree but why bother with an app when you can simply copy paste .nomedia file to a chosen folder?

Might keep all your pics in the same folder, for instance if you take pictures using the camera that you want to keep private. Rather than manually moving these to another folder you can just choose to hide them with an app.

Just one use case, both are probably as much hassle as each other but its an option :p

Get a program called Koala Encrypt. Its like 2$ and will encrypt files on the fly for you. Just decrypt them when you want to see them, and then encrypt when done. If they are encrypted and you lose your phone then no harm! Its on the android market and works really well! Can do folders at a time or individuals files

Interesting.... So there are Apps available that will allow you to hide individual pictures within a specific folder, as opposed to .nomedia which hides the entire folder.

Can you name one such App that hides such an individual picture

...... I can see a Thank you bubbling here. :)

"Vaulty Free Hides Pictures" This app seems to do this from what I can read on it. It has great feedback as well. A nice updated feature of App Market is the related tab... thats how I found this app.
