Buy Haipad M1001 Ultrathin MID Android 2.1 Dual Touch 10.1 Gravity Sensor 2GB Plastic Shell Black compare price at pandawill.com

The above link shows the model I'm interested in and I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this model? It looks amazing for the price and it even shows the Android Market in the picture so I'm guessing that it has the market pre installed? Also, it's a dual touch screen instead of multi-touch, thats fine, I just want to be able to pinch in and out on webpages, but is the screen responsive and is the unit fairly fast at least?

I have bought the M1001 a couple of moths ago, even if my tablet has a different name as usual for chinese devices (the same hardware is sold as Telepad, Bad Pad...).
The Google Market works well, no problem about it.
The screen is a quite responsive one (to be resistive) and I use almost always fingertips and only occasionally fingernails (there was no stylus in my box); the scrolling is smooth enough.
The screen is a dual touch, even if not so fast, but I really dont care this feature because you can zoom easily by tapping the screen.
Overall it is a good tablet, especially after I have done a firmware upgrade; it is fast enough for common usage (dvx play very well) and the battery lasts 3-3,5 hours.
This is my personal experience, but you have to know that there are often significant differences with these devices even if they hold the same hardware...

I bought the 2.2 version on Ebay. $170 to my door. I'm still playing with it, but I noticed that the vibrate does not work. Maybe that feature isn't available. Also, the camera (.3 mega pixels) displays backwards. I have seen in reviews that it isn't fixable. Aslo, the g sensor seems to be reversed in the maze game that I installed.

I cannot install the Google voice search, instead I have installed Vlingo, which seems to work satisfactorily, but doesn't have an icon in the search bar.

All in all, it seems to work okay, although sluggish at times, but that might be my wifi connection.

I suspect that these will be in the $100 range soon.

Hey there, I just ordered this tablet the other day from Meri Mobiles and I'm very excited to get it in, I chose the DHL shipping method ($33) so when it does arrive I'll post an unboxing video as well as some thoughts on the unit. A lot of people I know asked me why I didn't go with one of the 2.2 units with flash 10.1 and a camera and all these other things, but the reason behind that is because I wanted a 10 inch screen and all I'm going to be doing is downloading apps/games, surfing the web, listening to music on it and watching some video. It will be a nice alternative to carrying my laptop all over the place with me and the unit is very sturdy and the screen look very responsive on all the video's I've seen of it on YouTube, so why pay more for a 2.2 unit with a smaller screen? From those that have used it everyone seems to agree that the M1001 is one of the best tablets on the market, so I chose to get it and I couldn't be more excited!

So, I've been playing with my M1001 tablet for a little bit now and so far it's pretty damn amazing and my only complaint is that you have to tap the screen kind of hard to get it to do what you want, but that's just because it's a resistive screen rather than a touch screen so I'm okay with that. The market runs smoothly, the wi-fi is great, the web pages load nicely and the media capabilities are awesome, for $160 you can't ask for a better tablet! Yeah, yeah, it's 2.1 and not 2.2, but I don't need flash on my web and I could care less about being a mobile hotspot, I do kind of wish it had a camera though but it's all good.

Seriously, this tablet is awesome and I'd recommend it to those looking for a sturdy tablet that will be a great companion to your daily lifestyle.
