I have a rooted droid x version 2.3.15.MB810 and I am wondering if I should do the OTA update to 2.3.340. Will this unroot or brick my phone?

It mostly depends on what you have done to your device after rooting it there are things that will stop you from being able to do an OTA

So I have removed some of the bloatware but other than that I have not done anything. If I cannot do the OTA update, how should I update my dx without bricking it? Also, will I be able to root the phone again after update?

I cant tell you exactly what all to do I have a fascinate so things are a lil different but I can tell you that 99% of the time if bloat is removed you cannot get the OTA but for a lil more help I would ask these guys:

If you removed bloatware from the phone completely then its highly unlikely that you'll be able to successfully install the OTA update.
