App killer?

I just got an Incredible today and I was wondering if I should download an Advanced Task Killer app. I've read mixed reviews and I'm just not sure what to do having an Incredible on the new update

i strongly suggest you do. it greatly improves perfomance and saves battery time.

as far as being concerned about apps you want to preserve running on the background: almost all task killer apps have an ignore list.

I would advise against using a task killer for Froyo or better. There are have been countless tests showing that using one regularly will kill your battery off faster.

That being said, there's an app that watches for run-away processes which really drain power. Selectively closing those apps would be worth it, but bombing your system with ATK every time you think of it is a good way to kill your battery.

I wouldn't use a task killer. Let Android do its thing. If there is bloatware you need to remove then you will need to root and do it yourself. If you need to monitor your device and kill a task every once in a while, I suggest System Panel.

And no, do yourself a favor and do NOT use an app killer. It does more harm than good. It is a placebo .

you sure about that? i'm a huge star wars freak and i can't think of anybody whose name sounds like that. maybe i'm saying it wrong? haha and i've never seen LOTR (unfortunately, yes i know) but i know of frodo and those two just sound so familiar. haha totally off topic here...
