three major issues. firstly the SD card not being recognised. this has been since last week, the phone gives an error message saying not recognised, though it will recognise for the first few seconds of the phone being on. i have since put a new SD card in and will have to somehow copy the data off the old card. im not sure how the problem arose or how to fix it

second, i woke up this morning with zero cell reception, whereas i would usually have full bars. also throughout the day reception would drop out and messages would not send

and finally i have been having major battery drain issues. i had my phone in my pocket at work, no WIFI or GPS on, in my pocket, and the battery went from 60% to dead within 4 hours. i didnt even use the phone once, i just took it out of my pocket and it was off

someone please help with this issues!!

I don't know why you're having these issues, but there is a strong correlation between reception and battery life. If a phone has (or somehow thinks it has) poor reception, it will boost its signal in an attempt to reconnect. If it's constantly doing this, it will drain the battery like crazy.

The SD card thing leads me to believe your phone is just a lemon. It's really having trouble recognizing the card it came with?

there was no initial trouble reading the card . iv had the phone for about 2-3 months now. this only happened last week

also, my phone is unlocked, i bought it off ebay and i am using it on vodafone in Australia, so how would i go about getting it repaired?

I can only guess about two of your issues.

As far as the SD card, you've had the phone for 2-3 months, and another card works. Clearly it isn't a hardware defect with the phone, it's *something* with the card. Given that you've had it for so long, I would say you need to reformat the card because something may have corrupted.

As to the battery life, two things: first, as someone said, the "lack of reception" could well be a big player in this. All the same, going from 60 to 0 in four hours due to no reception seems odd. Check and see what programs are running in the background (a good task program for this is Astro)- there may well be something killing the battery. Sometimes one installs a seemingly harmless program, and it turns out it runs the CPU endlessly... cough cough... crappy facebook app...
Just check and see which programs are using the CPU- if it's something that you don't think should be, do some testing!

As to the reception randomly going out, I can say that I too have periodically (maybe 2 or 3 times in the 1+ month I've had the phone) had this problem and I'm not sure what's causing it. My best luck has come from switching to airplane mode and back or turning the phone off for a couple of minutes, then back on.
