I am wondering how to theme my handscent? I have seen people with different themes on this? Just wondering how to do this.

Plus wondering , I have all these droid icons in my gallery, can I make a folder for them all instead of being all over my gallery? I see I can do the folder but how do I add thingd to it?

I have the Droid X if that helps too?

Thanks,Laurie

Well, I am a big fan of Handcent so I can answer that question for you. If you hit the "menu" button on your phone while you are in the handcent mode then hit "settings" and that will bring up all kinds of customization options for you. Hope that helps. :)

Yep...it can all be done in the settings mode :D

I find ways to make settings for each contact, but struggle making settings for all messages -- eg, signatures, fonts, etc. How do I set these things
for every contact not just the one at hand?

I have other questions about Handcent that I cannot find answers for.
Where should I be looking?

Thanks,

I'm not sure how active it is, but you could try the official Handcent forum.

You CAN move handcent to your sd card however you will no longer be able to use the widget(same is true for all other moved apps which have widgets or deep system intergration ie. facebook) and you may experience lag from time to time. Personally the only apps I ever move to the sd card are the apps I use the least the ones that are least dependent to any system functions. I text everyday so I keep handcent in the phones memory

This is off subject but flash player also lags more than usual when stored on sd.

As far as customizing and adding themes to handcent all you have to do is look in the menu options click on customize and go from there.

If you go on the android market there are also handcent font packages that you can download to further theme and customize your layout.

If you are looking for premade themes those can also be found in the handcent options.

Basically all you need to know is in the options menu

Dan while you are on the screen showing ALL your threads click your menu button at the bottom of your android device and go from there. This will provide customizing and menu options for the app as a whole.

If you are on an active thread screen and press menu than it will only show options for customizing interactions wuth that particular contact.

I am trying to create my own custom theme on Handcent and I am having a hard time getting the background to work. It either looks really grainy or it will only select a certain part of my background image.

Is there a size I need to shoot for when creating a background image for handcent? I have a Droid X.

Thanks for your help!
