So I applied for the beta about a month or two ago, and I got no email.

I go to the site and try to log in and it works, just installed a legit swype...it feels good

So the SkyRaider ROM I use has the Gingerbread keyboard included, which I find super accurate and easy to use. I had lost a little luster with Swype because it was inconvenient to find a hacked version every time they upgraded and I didn't like the way it handles numbers (I don't want 25 every time I press 2 just because last time the 2 was trailed by a 5).

So the number thing is fixed in ver 2.15, but I've kinda gotten past the hype of Swype, and I mentioned it in a thread yesterday. Low and behold, last night there is an invite to take place in the beta program.

Coincidence? Yes, probably, but I will never know for sure.

It's a coincidence. I signed up 6 months ago and got my invite to Swype Beta yesterday.

Yeah, they finally released a new batch of beta acceptance emails. I'm pretty stoked, I missed Swype a LOT. Have only sent a few messages and one email out so far but I really do love this input method. Now, if I can only theme it to blue!

Yes, or red! Does that void the beta agreement? This is the second beta update in the last month and it does seem like it's getting better.

Does the GB keyboard use swype motions?

This. I signed up months ago and completely forgot about it. I woke up this morning I had an email from swype saying I was accepted into the beta. Downloaded the link and installed and am currently using it. Swype Beta Opening Up to More Folks | Android Phone Fans Thats a link to an article on the homepage saying how they opened it up.

Keyboard colors.. kind of like a theme for Swype.

I signed up several months ago too and just got my beta invite last night too. I like it so far, but I noticed that it stops working when I restart my phone. I have to select Swype as the input device every time I restart otherwise the swiping motions won't work. Does this happen to any of you guys?

Same on all counts (although I didn't know you could just reselect swype as input...I ended up reinstalling the whole thing!)

Yeah, I wanted to avoid having to reinstall, so I thought to myself "What if I just select it again just to make sure..." and it worked!
