If you don't already have Z4root installed from the market before the update hits I would advise doing it now. The update breaks root (for most, I've seen 1 or 2 people say they still had root afterwards, but not most), and I had rooted with the very first root method out for froyo, so I didn't have Z4root downloaded. I meant to before the update hit, but never did.
Then I ended up doing the update manually with the leak just about an hour ago. Sure enough, I lost root. Then I went to the market to install Z4root and I couldn't find it anywhere. I ended up having to download it from XDA Developers site and opening it from my SD card as an apk. So it's not impossible to get after the update if you don't already have it. But it would have been much easier to do if I'd already had the app in my app drawer and just opened it up and hit 'root', than having to do all the running around that I ended up doing just to get the app.
So if you haven't already, download it now. It's free, so why not?
