OK so this thread has morphed into a catch all for anyone looking for any kinda of SF kernel. Its all in this 1st post. Froyo and eclair kernels. Voodoo and non-voodoo. Various degrees of OC and UV.

I still recommend being able to pass the test below so you have some semblance of a clue what and how you are getting into

Kernel Competency Test

The test is now hidden to give this OP better flow but you should still click Show below if its your 1st time here
6 quick questions, must get first 5 right to procede; any wrong answers = insto-FAIL and access denied.

Test Question #1: what is adb?
Wrong answers include:
whats adb?
never heard of that before?
is that something like z4root?
and

Test Question #2: how did you get clockwork on your phone and name at least two ways to access cw on your phone?
Wrong answers include:
whats cw?
any answer that does not include the word odin

Test Question #3: what do you when its been a few minutes and the phone is stuck on the Samsung white logo during ext4 conversion?
Wrong answers include:
Whats ext4?
and anything other than keep waiting patiently

Test Question #4: How do you go back to rfs once you get on voodoo?
Wrong answers are too numerous too even list, you better know this before you jump into the pool, sorry no freebies here

Test Question #5 What is DJ05 and are you on it?
Wrong answers are again numerous. Rest assured you need to be on DJ05 for voodoo5 kernels to work properly for you and your SF. If you are not on DJ05, and you will know 100% if you are or not, this is not for you yet.

Test Question #6: Who are jt1134 and supercurio and why will you be donating to them
No wrong answers for why to donate of course but you need a clue who these two gurus are if running voodoo on the SF, if you dont thats like being Christian and not knowing who St. Peter and St. Paul are

Passing this test does not mean you still might not need a helping hand but it does establish you at least have a clue what you are doing and wont get yourself into hot water and not know why? If you didnt pass or know the answers to the first 5 for sure seriously consider reading up some more.

Mind you even the knowledgeable get into jams from time to time but at least be somewhat informed before just trying to monkey see monkey do, especially with voodoo.

This is not intended to come off as arrogant or condescending but it is intended to serve as a guidepost showing what a small hurdle you should be able to clear looks like prior to proceeding onto voodoo5. Mind you if you merely want voodoo without OC thats in Rom Manager. If you dont know what that sentence means you need to read up some more.
If you still wanna proceed read this please first: [Warning] MUST READ! Regarding Voodoo4/5... - xda-developers

Still wanna go huh?

Thou has been warned

EnderstSpecial_ver.02.zip - EC10 for TW. 1.2Ghz -50mv UV, this is voodoo ver.02
ES_voodoo_SV.zip - Same Kernel as above with SV
http://www.mediafire.com/?n3pzi5gvgjqm0rm - Uber OTB Kernel: 1.2Ghz OC currently with plenty of steps and some varying degrees of uv
http://www.mediafire.com/?l6yh9udyujf4k8y - OTB 1.2 The end all be all. In combo with voltage control app from market this lets you pick your own steps and voltage. Best kernel ever IMO.
http://www.mediafire.com/?4awgzduepksa84e - OTB 1.6 Strongly recommend using Tegrak Ultimate to raise internal voltage this should enable most people to achieve OC's of 1.4 or even 1.5Ghz

"The ul kernels are using the settings adrynalyne used for his comavolt kernels. Which is basically 100mv less than stock for the settings from 100mhz to 800mhz. The sv kernels are all using stock voltages. These kernels are double in size because there is a kernel for recovery included that is at stock clocks and voltages. This is to help prevent you getting locked out of recovery in case your phone can not handle some voltages or clocks I have used in these kernels." - nemesis2all

Sigh...no luck with the ov either, froze even faster than the sv for me. Not meant to be.

I had one minor browser freeze with ov but the battery was taking a pretty quick nose dive so i went back to 1200 lv which j can seem to run ok....i guess for my phone ov is mostly alright....but there wasn't any performance gain to justify the much worse battery life. :)

I have had good success with running the OTB sv_1250 so far. No browser freezes, NFS, Quad, I have yet to do a SetCpu stress test.

I am a bit concerned about how warm this thing is getting though. Think I will just leave well eough alone now that my curiosity has been satisfied.

Seems like we are getting to the threshold of " waiting for the froyo leak may be the next step".

Nitsuj17 (just kidding here) but was surprised to see you posting quad scrores at the bottom of your posts. Have you given in to the dark side buddy ? tee he he

For me, personally, as the OC's got more "stable" the past 10 days, they got slower. The first 1200 I ran was fast for sure...until it froze :) The one from a week ago that I was stable on not quite as fast. Then these with the latest voodoo, I switched to jt's 1ghz 12/12, and I can't really tell much difference.

This is absolutely not scientific, just observation and feel. They are worth a shot. I will flash the next batch and see...hell I might flash these back again and see
