This is the Update Version of Android Market for 2.1... (Note that this is not the Market that Google just recently released, that one is for 2.2)

Before installing, go to Settings>Applications>Manage Application & find Market(If it's not there, Press the hardware Option button then Filter>All) then select it and click ''Uninstall Updates'' if it's there...

Now, install the apk with Unknown Sources & USB Debugging enabled...

Hardware option button is the button on top of the physical Answer/Yes button...

To enable Unknown Sources go to Settings>Applications and tick 'Unknown Sources' & to enable USB Debugging Mode go to Settings>Applications>Developement and tick 'USB Debugging'.... Then install the apk with your favourite File Manager...

At first, 1-2 downloads are likely to cause this problem... Try canceling download & install again, if it doesn't start then cancel-install again... Give some time after cancel-install...

If you are using the 2.2 style one, then it'll hopefully will fix by itself... And if you are using the 2.3 style one, then during download stay on the App page till it's installed...

I am trying to download the file from http://www.mediafire.com/?jmpno1wopd99jus to upgrade my phone to the newest version, though my computer does not recognise the file! what can i do??

Your PC won't recognise the file... Download the file in your PC>Move it your phone's SD... Now, Do you have a file manager installed in your phone? If not, list the apps you have...

Have you tried the versions I've posted? Also, try opening the Market & keep your phone like that for some time, the Market should update itself...

Try clearing data/cache & Updates, Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Application & find Market(If it's not there, Press the hardware Option button then Filter>All) Tap on it & clear cache, data and Uninstall Updates
