I have a 16GB Class 2 Micro SD. Upgrade to 32GB Micro SD Class 4 or wait for 32 GB Micro SD Class 6?

There is absolutely no release date for a 32GB Micro SD class 6 as far as I'm aware of.

So should I upgrade to a 32 GB Micro SD Class 4 now or wait for the class 6 to become available at some point?

Related question, can I drag and drop copy the entire contents of my 16GB Mirco SD Card onto my PC, applications and all, then drag and drop copy them from my PC to a new 32 GB Micro SD and have everything work fine, or will there be issues? I'm specifically worried about the applications.

There is no 32 GB microSDHC Class 4, just a Class 2 made by SanDisk.

If you copy the old SD card to PC make sure the PC setting is "Show all/hidden files".
With copy SD to PC you will copy your apps on SD to the PC too.
FYI: The apps on SD are in the folder '.android_secure'.

In theory it should work if you shut down the phone, remove the SD card and install in a PC, and then copy each and every file (both hidden and not) to the new SD card. Whether or not it works in practice, however, remains to be seen...

Yup, cheaper than Class 2 on the same website. His contention wasn't price, it was availability. I never said it would be cheap.

I did exactly this last night. Works like a charm! It was a class 2, but I don't foresee issues. I just plugged the phone is as a hard disk and plugged a usb card reader in along with it. Copied the files over, powered down the phone, swapped cards, and viola! Had a handful off apps on the sd card which all seem to be loading prefectly fine.

FWIW I see no reason to upgrade in class unless you are constantly moving files back and forth (and I mean constantly). I just got a pair of 32gb class 2 sandisks off of eBay for a total of $33 shipped. Couldn't be happier. I have read I MIGHT run into issues recording HD video. That doesn't really bother me as 99% of whaty ends upon the card is apps and music, which all do just fine with a class 2.

I have a 16GB sdhc sandisk class 2, Everynite I put my droid A855 on a docking station to charge overnight but when I wake up the next morning my phone tells me the sd card has been removed. I am unable to access any music or data from the card and am unable to format the card b'cuzz it asks me to insert a new card. When I take the card out and use my card reader all the files and music is there it's just that my phone can't see the card when installed. can anyone help me I just got this phone and card about a month ago ?
