Wow, I just picked up my brand spanking new Nexus S and it seems I'm heavily dependent on the voice alerts to be alerted about anything.
It has no whatsoever LED indicators for charging, notifications or anything else.
Basically if I put my phone on silent and turn Vibrate off, there is no way in knowing I have something waiting on my phone until & unless I check it. Basically the push notifications become useless.
I am just amazed of how Google & Samsung could miss such a huge feature. Okay I understand the trackball was useless and not needed (even though now I'm noticing how helpful it was in editing text) but c'mon they could have included a SMALL LED just to let know if the phone was on charge or made that same LED for multiple purposes so it would blink if I had any notification on my phone.
I'm on a 30 day period right now and I might be returning this. I am still giving it time so maybe I get used to it because Im sure all the Google Executives using this phone need PUSH notification too and if they hadnt noticed it, maybe ill stop noticing it too now.
Not sure, but it wouldnt have hurt having this feature. Such a small feature which is even included in dumbphones. Just bummed out a little.
3G seems to work very fast though, not sure how. It zooms compared to the Nexus One.
