Help Text messaging problem

I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but there is definitely a problem. For the most part I am not receiving text messages unless I actually pick my phone up and look at it. Now I'm pretty sure that I just don't have awesome timing. Sometimes they come through normally, but it's been doing this a lot as of late.

Anybody have any ideas? Anything would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have battery saving apparently like Juice Defender?

I have a similar problem with my Ascend. 75% of the time, when I am sending a text message, it says message not sent. However, the other person DOES receive the message. I've tested this with my other phones and with other people in a lot of different areas. On top of that, I often dont get texts until way later.

Yes, I also have that same exact problem. It's really annoying. I thought when I got this new phone, or was hoping rather, that it would stop that from happening. Apparently not. Though, mine isn't 75% of the time. I would say it happens about 15-25%. It's still annoying though. Most people are like, "Why are you sending the same text over and over?". I just tell them that it tells me it wasn't sent and I keep sending it until it tells me it has. I know sometimes it still goes through, but sometimes it doesn't. So I can never know if it has or hasn't until it tells me it has.

Though, back to this new problem, it's still happening. I'm thinking about going to a store and asking them about it. I'm scared about the lack of knowledge I will encounter.

This is a problem with most phones regardless of carrier. So far, I have tested tmobile and us cellular. With both, the same problem happened. It is a nonresolvable issue. Messages are sent even though it says not sent, but they take longer to arrive. Those error messages are based on time, so if a message doesn't arrive at its destination say within 20 seconds, the message not sent thing appear, but the messages are still sent but take longer to arrive. Whenever the "sending" icon disappears after sending a message, out means thay the recipient has received the message, not thay the message has been sent from your phone but actually arrived at its destination. I have noticed that with wifi on connected to a home network, the problem appears less often.

So technically, when the phone displays the not sent message, it means this: the message didn't arrive at the allotted time the phone assumes the message was supposed to arrive (say, 20 seconds). But the message is still on its way and arrives at the recipient between 10 mins and sometimes more than 12 hours that it takes all the message bits to find their way to the recipient. I have had other phones with various carriers and all of them have had the same problem. Most probably, the messages you send that get the not sent message were sent at a time when there was significant network congestion, as messages are sent using data. Signal strenght is also a minor but affecting factor.
