I was about to buy one but apparantly the USB port on the back of this thing doesn't allow for data syncing. It'll plug into your computer and charge, but it won't sync data. The main reason I wanted this was to have a place for the phone to sit on my desk while charging and syncing. PLUS if you have a case it won't fit this dock without taking the case off, and that's just crazy talk since so many people use cases. You can also find this on Amazon for $25 shipped.

AND the Audio Port won't work until Froyo 2.2 update is live AND Home Dock Samsung is released in the Marketplace. My guess is that data sync will work after Home Dock is released.

"Desk Home" by Samsung is out on the marketplace. I installed it just fine.

Both the Samsung Home Dock and Car Dock apps have been available in the marketplace for months. I have both of the Samsung docks and use the apps daily. Both work fine except that the audio out will not work until 2.2 is released, per the instructions written by Samsung supplied with each dock.

Doesn't allow USB sync.... I didn't notice, but you're right. Even with Home Desk installed, no USB syncing that I can find.

Like you, I use the dock as an easy way to plug in the USB cable for charging.
