Root Serious SD Card Issues w/ Droid X

I upgraded to a Class 10 16GB SD Card in my Droid X but during my upgrade to my new card I also upgraded to the latest and greatest ApeX 1.3.1.

I am having this issue ONLY when the SD card is inserted so I know the problem has something to do with my SD card. At times during the day when I manually hit the lock button my phone messes up. The 4 buttons at the bottom become illuminated like any time you hit the lock button but the background is lit but you cannot see anything and the phone is not responsive. I have to manually remove the battery to fix the issue. If I keep the SD card in there the problem normally occurs again. If I take the SD Card out I never see the issue.

I have formatted the card and the problem eventually comes back after about a week. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Version 2.3.340
BP_C_01.09.07P
ApeX 1.3.1

When you install Apex, did you also updated your kernel? If not, it might help you out. Here's the link for new kernel:

TBH Patches: 2.3.340-System, Baseband, 2.3.340-Kernel, Bootloader

Hopefully I'm right(I had a different problem with my phone and updating kernel fixed everything)

Thanks for the response.... my kernel version says: 2.6.32.9-gca645b6 the kernal on the link provided says 2.6.32.9-g55626e1 is that a later release?

If so how do you update the kernel?

What kind of professor doesn't know how to read? :D

Install instructions for each of the files below.

1) Download
2) Restart phone with bootstrap recovery
3) Select install update.zip and then select the zip you downloaded
4) Restart the phone

I suspect if your kernel isn't up to date, neither is anything else so you probably need all the files (one at a time).

How did you update to .340, by sbf?

Yes, you need all those updates then.

OK, I am doing these updates one at a time so I can see which one fixes my issues.

I first tried the 2.3.340 Kernel Updater (2.6.32.9-g55626e1) update. I had the issue again last night.

My baseband already says BP_C_1.09.07P. My system says version.2.3.340.MB810 so I am at the most up to date version there as well.
I'm not sure about the bootloader. How to do I check the bootloader version?

Power off the phone.

Holding the volume-down and camera buttons, press the power button until the screen flashes, then let up on all.

You should see your boot loader version.

Thanks man. Yes, I have the latest bootloader. Any other suggestions? In the meantime I am going to go back to my slow classless SD card to see if I still have the issue.
