Lets see your UI layout!

Nevertheless, great job on the icons! Maybe when you figure out how to prevent them from changing you can chime me in.

Also, under "edit shortcuts" there are several camera icons, camcorder, sms, mail, etc. I guess those were populated when I was experimenting with the program. Is there a way to clean those up off that list? For some reason I believe they are taking up disk space on the phone itself, not the SD card.

I have not figured out how to perminatly change the email or sms icons ... icons that get the green notification dot always go back.

I noticed this too when I was changing my icons, so i just switched to the regular droid UI and it is fine now (i was going to switch anyway). Im sure everyone knows this already but I figured I would chime in.lol

This is my current theme while at work. Most items are turned off, icons cleaned off and access to my work "stuff".

Ataranine,

I like the look you have there. Why does yours look so different?
Thank you. :)

I disabled Sense and I'm using BetterCut to change my icons. The Icon packs I'm using are Android 2.0 and iPhone 3G. I had to disable Sense because some of the changed icons wouldn't appear changed.
My screens have changed a bit since then, I'll take some more screenies later.

What...exactly...would I lose by disabling Sense and how might I go about doing such a thing? The lag and battery issues are my BIGGEST gripe with my Eris. If I could fix those problems by dumping Sense w/o adding new ones I would be on that solution like white on rice.
Settings>Applications>Manage Applications: Find HTC Sense in the Apps list, press clear defaults, force close, then press the home button. After that it'll ask you which to use, Home or Sense, pick Home.
You'll lose the ability to use HTC widgets, but not android ones.

Create a folder on your SD card where you want to keep them ... I named mine Icons. Copy the files to that folder and install BetterCut from the Market. Used BetterCut to create shortcuts on your screen, it allows you to change the Icon. When you click the "Change Icon" option, navigate to the Icon folder and select the icon you wish to use. Its actually quite easy. You can also change the name under the icon using BetterCut
Is it possible to provide step by step instructions on how to create folder on SD card, how to copy your icons to folder, etc?
Id love to use some of your icons, they're great! But not sure how to do it...

Thank you in advance!
Julie
