well if your not rooted and feel like voiding your warranty anyway, you can too

It ll nuke your data....ilas long as your contacts and calendar are google ones they ll resync when you login to your account....or you can backup your contacts to your sdcard with export/important in your contacts menu

Your paid apps are also linked to your account and nothing on your sdcard will be touched...,however if you root you are able to backup app data with titanium backup or mybacjuck pro root

Plus after this DL09 upgrade will you still have to use a different launcher to get google? or can I run TW and have google? I haven't heard if this was addressed or not.

Google as an option in place of bing will not be adressed until froyo

Some people even run a DJ05 ROM with the DL09 radio they seem to be interchangeable and fully compatible
