Help- Bluetooth CAC reader needed

Hello nobiggie,

Not quite sure about that part yet. This is still a very new area we are quickly approaching. It will be a lot of trial and error I believe. I haven't even had to time to figure out my CAC reader on my Linux computer yet. I've heard it could be done, but have had to Google to find some answers. You could visit: https://militarycac.com/linux.htm for some information. Some of it might cross over to Android.

so you can use ActivClient on android? i figured you could on blackberry but nothing else.

how would you go about setting all this up?
You don't need ActivClient in all cases, only when the OS does not have the required software in place to support CAC PIV. Windows 7 is a great example, you don't need to install ActivClient on Windows 7.

That is what I'm hoping, that the Linux part of the setup transfers nicely to the Android phones.

Thanks Chief. Great website.

I just sent biometric an email to find out if they have any android bluetooth devices in the pipleline. Will letcha know what I find out.

Any update? I was looking at their web site and they have an area that stated they were adding Android support in May 2011, but their site is seldom updated.

I know, I resurrected another old thread, but no need to start new one when this one already existed.
