Sadly only if you have /root access and most regular users don't want to go through the steps. It means themes are possible and will be rolling out sometime soon.

It's because the images are linked from the xda-developers forum. You need to be a member, and to be logged-in (have the cookie) to see them.

We will soon have some more themes to pick apart as xda has a theme competition going right now. I already have them cause i donated so i can tell you now there are some very good ones coming out! Here is one I'm currently using

I have been using Wallr to change my wallpapers a lot and I love it. I can't wait until non-rooted phones get the option to skin.

BTW - any change in the home screen time delay with themes? With my current non-rooted phone hitting the home button often has a 15-25 sec wait time until the home screen icons appear. A bit embarrassing when showing it off to iPhone users.

How often does this happen? I have once maybe twice had to wait 15 seconds for the home screen to appear. I think it only happened after exiting steel too.

I have been in contact with the vendor/app dev and the first suggestion was maybe not enough memory ... I told him that was not the case for another person with this problem (50MB free) ... I do have the LowMemory (avg 7MB free ) status alot on my phone because of 196 apps ...

As of now, still no definative reason or solution ... same thing for losing wallpaper in the theme ... it will not stick with the theme allways...

Just to be clear to you and Jim, my comment was "off topic." Let's take this exact moment. My g1 is sitting next to me on the desk asleep. (dark screen).

I hit menu twice and imeem is currently open, not playing any music. So I hit the home button.It takes 3 sec for the wallpaper to show up, and then my phone goes to sleep (black screen) BEFORE my home screen icons return. I hit menu, menu again and then a few more second and they finally show up.

This has occurred "everytime" I hit the home button today when those things are not in memory. It is clearly some kind of low memory trick of the OS. I have 10MB free on internal storage.

I also believe this is why if I don't reboot my phone about once every 3-5 days it will reset. Today it reset too. AFTER the reset it still has this home screen issue.

In the past, I had no Default choosen so when I pressed the home button a dialog box pops up aking for which home system to use and I would normally select aHome ...
I have now changed it, to let aHome be the Default home system ...

I see no delay for wallpaper to show (athought it might be the wrong one for the theme I am running)

Jim - I don't use any desktop replacement software. So just native Android OS. I do use Wallr to change out my wallpaper on a regular basis. But the issue of the delay occurs no matter if Wallr is installed or if it is not on the device. In answer to your question then, when I press the home button it takes me to "center" home screen (eventually). Make more sense?
