I was just wondering why no one ever speaks about OMG! Simple Mobile. Is there something wrong with them? I just looked at their web site and they now support "4G". I once wrote them a letter about 4G and here is the response I got:

Hello,

We do have 4G serives but have not made an announcement yet. Since we are a privately own MNVO on T-Mobile's network, we have the same 4G areas.

Thank you.

Simple Mobile
Does anyone have experience with this carrier? They are using T-Mobile's 4G but at a much cheaper price... what's the catch?

Well for one, for the price of the phone divided out over the contract, you're paying the same amount on sprint. And I've heard of sprint, lots of times. Never heard of simple mobile.

Yeah, I understand where you are coming from, what if they are unsafe? But if they are bad how did they get the chance to use T-Mo's network? Also, would it not be a deal if you are just unlocking your T-Mobile phone (I have the Vibrant)?

If you already have a phone give it a shot. No contract and its like 13 bucks for a sim or something it looks like.

As I understand it most of the big carriers have these sub carriers if you can call it that.I guess they all have them.I recently switched from T-Mobile to Simple mobile and so far I have no problems.I am yet to unlock my vibrant but it still works with voice calls and text messages.I hope to get it unlocked so that I can get 3G and MMS.

The catch is when your data usage exceeds 1gb, they send you a text and either terminate your service for the rest of the month, or restrict your data access. Also you get a disconnected tmo line that you cant access the voicemail to. I've heard very bad things about simple mobile

My Simple Mobile plan is for 3G and they do throttle back your data speed greatly when you exceed their limit. I'm going to be on the road a lot and will need to create a mobile access point with my phone which is prohibited by Simple Mobile. Can anyone tell me if they are doing this with Simple Mobile, and if so, has Simple Mobile terminated your account or just slowed you down? I would be using FoxFi in the proxy mode to do this.

Thanks
