Help whens a songs playing....

What's so f'n funny??I came here to get help & this is how ya'll treat people?
I asked a simple question & get laughed at!
What a bunch of "richard heads"!!

i guess this is about as funny as "how to get the back cover off"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have any desire to make fun of you, but generally when you ask a question, it's best to give some background... if for nothing else than to show that you've thought through your options, rather than just not wanting to think for yourself and coming to others for help. You're never going to get a good response with a one-sentence question... rather when you ask a question you should also include things like (using your question as an example):

- what media player you're using (you probably should have specified if you were using the default widget or the actual media player app as well)
- what methods you've already tried (ex: I click on the pause button, but that's not the functionality I was hoping for)
- what you've observed when you try to stop a song (ex: the only button I see is a pause button, isn't there a hard stop button?)

People who ask what might look like dumb questions and not going into any detail are often not going to be happy with the answer... so try to put a minute or two of thought into anything you're going to ask. I'd say that this goes for anyone in any support situation really.

how can you stop it,i tried everything!help!
3 things.

1st: Love the avatar, best in the forum IMO:D
2nd: What the heck is a "Richard Head"???

3rd: Honestly, I've been wondering the same thing, but just didn't have the desire to come out and ask it because of the inevitable hecklers.
I also use the default player. It has no stop button, and from what I can tell there is no way to end the damn thing without a third party app killer! Am I missing something?

Is there any way to get this thing to stop consuming my valuable resources? It's not setup like other programs that go into minimization 'standby' mode in the background (obviously, it continues to play in the background:p), so it steals my resources and lags my phone even when not in use! Please tell me I am missing something very obvious:eek:

If you pause the player it doesn't continue in the background. It simply has memory where it left off. There is no need to "stop" it from running with a third party app killer. In fact most are discovers that is using third party apps are running the background resources more than other apps. I have very good battery life and don't use an app killer. I do have astro file manager and I understand that can work as one but I honestly don't remember the last time I opened it. I am sure it may run after I open the app but the process monitor is in its own section so I may be wrong saying that even.

Couldn't have said it any better than that.

Well, unlike others, I didn't think it was a stupid question. The first time I used the player I couldn't figure out how to shut the damn thing up either. Found that hitting pause is the way. But not before I wanted to throw my phone to make it stop. Must say it is a little un-user friendly. Which leads me to my biggest complaint about the phone - I hate that the "end" button is also the "sleep" button. Other than that, love the phone.
