Install Titanium Backup... Open it>Go to 'Backup/Restore' tab>Quick Tap on the app>''Uninstall !''... But, first post the list of apps you wanna remove, here...

I've always said, if you don't know, ask here... Google Talk shouldn't be removed... Now, you have to reflash your phone with KDZ Updater...

You can remove Layar, NDrive, RSS Reader, Email, Dual Clock, Weather... Don't remove the others....

You need active internet connection (wifi or from your carrier), barcode scanner application from market and www.apkinstall.com

If it helps, I used a free app from market called 'APK manager' from here you can install the z4root Nirob supplied

(once downloaded z4root, move it to the SD card and APK manager will see it)

Thanks for the help. I'm running android 2.1, updated from the LG website. I downloaded the file you posted directly to my phone and installed it with easy installer. Z4root first asked me to enable usb debugging, which I did as you suggested. Then I ran z4root again. Everything seemed fine, but it got to the point of "acquiring root shell" l and the application simply vanishes. No reboot, no feedback of any kind. I tried titanium backup to see if the root had worked, but it said my phone is not rooted. Terminal emulator confirmed this ("permission denied").

Any ideas of what I might have done wrong? Thanks!

Yap, you can... Root is access to full control of the OS, just like Administrative rights on Windows...

Untick USB Debugging Mode, Allow Mock Locations & Unknown Sources>Restart your Device>Tick them again>Try to root... Hope it works...
