Okay so yesterday I noticed my phone wasn

I love the people waiting for the super duper do everything and never have any problems phone. There isnt such thing!!!!! People complain about the phones that recentally came out and are stuck on what they should do ... should I return my current phone and wait for the pie in the sky phone? Give me a break! As soon as the phone does come out people will be complaining about it waiting for the next best thing.

Go to the store, play with the Eris ... if you like it, buy it. If you dont, dont buy it. If your going to wait for the perfect phone, you will be waiting a long long time.

Okay so you are basically saying do option a, or option c. Fully understand I am not one to buy items with a plan on returning them. Well my phone is now gone even farther in the deep end so think I will be going with option c so I don’t need to worry if they super phone will be out within the return policy. I do understand that no phone is perfect and does everything. When they come out with something like that the Vikings will win a supper bowl lol we can only wish that would happen. And I do like the Eris just don’t want to buy it if there going to have a better version of it out within the next month or so. I also don’t see a phone better than the passion/bravo/n1 coming to Verizon in the near future maybe 6 months down the line there might be something but I am not going to obsess over it if I already have the phone I am looking for only complaining about my phone right now because I have had it just over a year and its gone to phone hell. About 6 months ago the back arrow stopped working. 3 months ago it kept freezing and rebooting when I would try to get my emails on it. Last night touch screen only worked in the contact area. Today just keeps pulsating and showing the signal strength and battery level

When they come out with something like that the Vikings will win a supper bowl lol we can only wish that would happen.

Thats not funny We have a shot this year ... maybe ... hopefully ... screw it, it the same old Vikings.

In all fairness, if you not wanting a qwerty phone, the Eris is way dated in hardware: small screen and old processor. A snapdragon powered phone is a super phone by comparison (to the Eris) and it'll be awhile before the dual core 1.5GHz next-gen snapdragon sees a test build, let alone production. I don't think a 1GHz phone is too much to ask/wait for. It has, after all, been around for over 2 years now.

lol, you are a ture minnesota fan. I have thought the same way most of my life. most my family is from and minnesota and still live there i live about 20 miles into south dakota but still the purple and gold run deep in the vains.

that is what I have been thinking. There really isn't another phone rumored to come out in the next 3-6 months that will be better than this phone. I do like like the eris but having an LED screen on this new phone would save energy so the battery wont drain as bad along with an awesome display. Half inch larger screen, faster processor and hopefully optical eye then a track ball (unknown if it will be more like the bravo then the N1) would be very nice. what would also be very nice is some more confirmed information

Just a note that while most people think an OLED is a guaranteed energy saver over LCD, you have to manage your display usage, basically watch what kind of background you're using or how the phone is "themed". This was a major point of discussion months ago with the Omnia II. There was a pretty good write-up that tested OLED energy usage that someone linked, but I've long since lost it. OLED can save on average about 25% energy consumption over LCD with the average image (mix of pixel intensity) but it can use near 4x the energy at max intensity (white screen - as an example, a "flashlight" app can really kill your battery since it drives the entire display at full intensity). It's a sliding scale. Brighter images on OLED can exceed LCD energy consumption by upwards of 100% or so. Samsung used a default theme of white/bright text on alot of dark/black backgrounds for the Omnia II in part to show off the crispness of the display and to moderate battery life. I'd have to say on the flipside, with LCD you know what you're using all the time (for a given brightness setting). That being said, I'll take the better picture quality with OLED, but I'm not counting on huge energy savings to seriously boost battery life.
