This is the coolest peice of technology I have ever owned

Well ... you had me until you mentioned the metal detector. Don't get me wrong, I think the DROID's the coolest thing since Eddie Van Halen's 'Eruption'. But I'm not so sure about that metal detector app. I'm more impressed with the Navigator, Pandora, SportsTap, Barcode Scanner, and the 130 or so other apps I have installed. ;)

Of course ... I do have A Steve Vai station, a Dream Theater station, King's X, Queensr

Funny, yesterday while driving around with my wife, I mistakenly said I was rebooting my computer but I meant phone and we both said..."same thing"

I then told her the same thing as the OP, this is probably the best gadget i've bought in a while and I have an ipod touch.

How are you storing and running apps from the SD card?
Ordinarily I wouldn't help hijack a thread, but since this one's not exactly titled as technical (-and I have about 130 apps myself)...
-[Me, too! I wanna know this!

As for this being the greatest technogadget I've ever had, I have to say that I've never been so impressed with any gadget I've ever had before, and I'm a freak about this stuff. (The geeky exuberance is always there, just not the full wallet. ;) )
I'm glad I'm on holiday vacation, because I've been a completely unproductive schlep ever since I got this friggin thing. -I just can't put it down!

I built my own laptop from Dell parts. It was really nice and fairly up to date a few years ago when I did it. It was one of the first 17" WUXGA screened behemoths available at the time. I've always loved my laptop and am very proud to have built it myself. Now I could care less about it! I go to use it and catch myself reaching out to swipe the screen!:p
