Help ADW launcher EX

I had the same problem.. I believe you need to do the market fix again (which you can find on one of these threads). Pretty sure thats what I did to clear up the problem.

Also, I'm digging ADW-EX! I thought I was LauncherPro Plus thru and thru until I messed with this. I've since uninstalled LauncherPro on the gTablet and my Droid.

Yeah I think ADW EX blows LP out of the water. It's good balance of speed and coolness with the animation effects.

you all convinced me to use ADW Launcher EX - i just purchased and installed it, plus the notifier plug in. I am having many issues - locking up, apps and windows won't allow me to touch and interact. Do I need to uninstall the original Launcher app? Please help if you have any thoughts on this.

I would also suggest two things...

Perform the calibration fix specified in the thread below..

Clear the data and cache of your old launcher...by going into settings>applications>launcher

At first I did not, once installed, 75% of my items were removed. I removed the rest. Rebooted 3 times now, and so far it's working better...not sure... Anyone know about uninstalling the old launcher? Can it conflict?

If you're not using it, why not delete it? I always uninstall stock launchers after getting ADW up and running and it has never caused a problem.

I tend to agree but since it is a system application, I can not do an uninstall through the settings-->applications-->system applications. So I am not sure how you are removing the packaged launcher (came with tnt 3.1). One other minor question - the .apk file posted here for the multi-pic wallpaper, how do you install it when you just get a .apk file like that?

As always, Thank you all!!

Okay... I think I know what's doing it, but don't know how to fix it... There's this little invisible box with tiny arrow that appears right under the bottom left text of the "ADWLauncher EX" text that is at the top of your home pages. When that appears, everything starts acting up. Just scrolling around causes it to show up all the sudden. Once it gets there, I have to reboot to remove it.

You can uninstall system apps with Titanium backup but I usually just freeze them instead of actually deleting them. I remember deleting the stock launcher because I had adw on my droid Then I decided to go with Launcher pro so I uninstalled adw but I did it before installing launcher pro so my phone got stuck because the phone didn't have a launcher app to let me access my phone.

Lesson learned for me. :p

To install an .apk, you need a file managing application. I prefer Astro, but there are plenty of good ones out there. With astro, navigate to the apk file and click it, then click open app manager and then install. Make sure the "install applications from unknown sources" box checked in your application settings before you start or it will not work.
