I came across these mods/tweaks over the past few days on various other forums and threads. I decided to populate them into one thread. I take no credit for any of these mods. Not sure how these will affect battery life.

Before using any of these you'll need to be rooted and obtain your MSL code. You can download an app called MSL Reader and get the code without calling Sprint:

MSL Reader - Android app on AppBrain

As always use at your own risk. You may want to write the pre mod values down first before making changes.

Increase Call Quality:
(Initial Values: Home- EVRC
Roam- Voice 13K)

Some info about EVRC-B:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enhanced_Variable_Rate_Codec_B

1) Get your MSL Code
2) Dial
##8626337# on your dial pad
3) Select Edit Mode and input your MSL code when prompted for your password
4)
Change Home Orig., and Roam Orig. to EVRC-B
5) Hit Menu and Commit Changes
6) Dial ##3282# on your dial pad
7) Select Edit Mode and input your MSL code when prompted for your password
8) Select Adavanced
9) Go down to EVRC-B and enable it
10) Hit Menu and Commit Changes

Change Slot Index Number (Changes number of rings before your phone wakes):
(Initial Values: Slot Index Number 2)

1) Get your MSL Code
2) Dial
##3282# on your dial pad
3) Select Edit Mode and input your MSL code when prompted for your password
4) Select Adavanced
5) Select Slot Cycle Index and change value to 1 or 0
6) Hit Menu and Commit Changes

Bypass Sprint Proxy Servers and FixS treaming Music (Pandora) Issue. Possibly Increase Download Speeds
.
(Initial Values: Port: 8085 Addr: pd.vog.sprintpcs.com)

1) Get your MSL Code
2) Dial
##3282# on your dial pad
3) Select Edit Mode and input your MSL code when prompted for your password
4) Select Adavanced
5) Scroll down to HTTP PD Proxy Port & HTTP PD Proxy Address6) Change HTTP PD Proxy Port to 0 (zero)
7) Change HTTP PD Proxy Address to 0.0.0.0
8) Hit Menu and Commit Changes

Raise Priority Level Of Your Calls on the Network when Congested (Think Mother's Day)
(Initial Value: ?)

1) Get your MSL Code
2) Dial
##3282# on your dial pad
3) Select Edit Mode and input your MSL code when prompted for your password
4) Select Adavanced
5) Scroll down to ACCOLC (Access Overload Class) and Change value to anything from 2 to 7. The lower the number the higher the priority. Do not use 0 or 1 since those are reserved for emergency services.
6) Hit Menu and Commit Changes

Edit: Not sure about this last tweak. I've seen a few posts that say the default value is based on your MSID or Phone #. If that's the case not sure which numbers have higher priority.

Edit: I found this reprovision tweak in another thread:
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...lly-slow-3g-speeds-new-evo-any-diagnosis.html

Reprovision Your Phone if your having 3g Speed Issues

1) Get your MSL Code
2) Dial
##3282# on your dial pad
3) Select Edit Mode and input your MSL code when prompted for your password
4) Select Date Profile
5) Hit Menu then select Restore
6) The phone will then reboot.
7)
Once the reboot is complete it does a hands free activation, then checks for PRL updates, and then checks for firmware updates (I canceled this step).

whats that akazabam?! your making a flashable zip?? what a pal!! =D lool jp =P

what do you guys think? these legit??

This is pretty simple to do, i dont see how a flashable zip would help.. lol

Lol. Yes, flashable zips are easy to make, but you can't make one to do any of these.

Wow... these sound amazing.. definitely trying this out.
Is this something that could be changed back to normal with a simple nandroid backup? Or is this info stored somewhere else and needs to be changed back to normal only by re entering previous values?

You'd have to change them back manually. This is basically NV stuff. I don't believe recovery has the ability to backup stuff at that level.

Thats what i figured. I just tried the first one out, and changed my setting to EVRC-B. I dont know much about that choice or the others, but it sounded good. Could be placebo though.. haha.
Im going to try some others
