10 Reasons Why The Android Is Not At All Working

Meh, most of his complaints were stupid, although some had a few valid points. Nothing is perfect (even his mighty jesus-phone aka iPhone). I could easily bring up 11 billion issues about the iPhone if I wanted to. It's obvious that he is biased (hell, he even said so himself) and likely wanted it to fail. I could tear apart almost every one of his complaints and have rebuttals, but there would be no point.

Android definitely perfect, but if you complain about stuff like "lol like no good Twitter app lol like omg" then nothing will ever please you.

sorry, forgot the smilies :) ;)

This is the first phone that I've had in 3 years that I haven't had to constantly reset, either hard or soft. Among the ones I did: Samsung Blackjack (daily soft reset to establish AT&T network connection), Palm Treos (frequent soft resets), Apple iPhone 3g and 3gs (frequent freeze-ups, requiring soft reset and occasional hard reset).

So far, knock wood, the Hero has been fantastic. I only power it down on very rare occasions. I have 4 in the family and everyone is having the same wonderful experience (in terms of resetting; yes, there are things that don't work so well on the Hero).

Most of his issues are just because the platform is new. Inability to install apps to the SD card is a big one though. If google wants to elicit anywhere near the support that apple has from game manufacturers, they're gonna have to fix this. If that means forgoing the SD card and architecting the phones like the iPhone ( ie gigs of built in Flash RAM ) - so be it. I hope google has that in their plans.

Ten reasons why an Android phone is not a phone for me.

The way this guy goes on, everyone with an Android phone is performing 10 hard resets a day just to get by...

Especially like the "only 3 home screens" one, coming from iPhone (and its multitude of homescreens) having only 3 homescreens must be a real bitch!

WTF? On an average day I had to hard-reset my iPhone 2G AT LEAST 5 times just to get the speed back, not to mention clearing the browser cache every 2 hours to try to keep the stupid thing from crashing (it still crashed anyway on even relatively light sites). I've had the Droid for 2 months, and am yet to see a slowdown, let alone a need for a reset.

I love this: "For whatever weird reason the tech news scene tends to grant everything coming out of Google with premature praise.". Dude needs to get off the cocaine and visit a tech blog on any day in the two months surrounding WWDC. Apple has been getting a free pass from the media for 5 years now. Makes me wonder if Obama runs it ;)
