Help Outta Internal Memory

I got the Metro PCS Huawei Ascend
download some Apps/Games
now im down to 11 MB on my Internal Memory
it kept popping up an icon on top saying Memory Low
and open up all the app for me to clear out
did that , but still about 11 mb left
anyone know what i can do ?
beside deleting apps/games ?
i have a 16gb sd card
but cant get anything to run on the sd card or put anything on the sd card , while downloading apps or games
i alrdy deleted many apps not needed
and the phone is rooted as well

Download cache cleaner and/or cachemate and clean your cache. This should clear up some memory. I also have an app called memory booster that is like a de-frag that might help a little.

FYI, with Icarus running on my phone, I've installed about 4 times as many apps on my phone without issue. Icarus also takes up less internal memory to start with, leaving more room for other stuff that cannot be installed to the SD card.

Icarus has been fantastic for me. It's not an app, it's a complete redo of the OS on the phone, with a lot of useless stuff stripped out, and optimized for better performance. The guy who created Icarus is isaacj87, pretty nice guy from my experience, plus he lives in the same metroplex that I do, LOL.

Anyway, I wouldn't necessarily classify it as "hard" to install, as much as I would say there are numerous steps that make your average user very nervous. However, there are several people on this forum that have no experience doing this type of thing, who have pulled it off perfectly. Follow the instructions from this link and you should have little or no trouble.

Well I have 2.2, and all the apps I download, I have them to go directly to my SD card. I just received the "low memory" notification. I have Cache Cleaner, its good, but I still need more space. Wtf is taking up internal memory?!

If you are a heavy texter and you have no number limit on the text threads, you can easily clog up the phone's internal storage. You also might want to check email and gmail deleted files and sent folders for a lot of old messages, especially if you share a lot of media.

Also sometimes the apps don't get installed on the SD card. I have my phone set up so all my apps get installed on the SD card too, nut it doesn't always work. Go in manage applications and start making sure that all your apps are on the SD, if not move them to it. I have to do this often after downloading several apps.
