Nexus One coming to AT&T...maybe

although i hope she has the same or better sources than BGR, its probably repeated rumor versus true sources. However, I like BGR's track record for rumors and personally will slap down the $530 for the phone the moment they are available for AT&T.

I think its funny we haven't seen a AT&T version out in the wild nor something from the FCC to which my basis for doubt comes from :) but we can always hope :D

Again, the N1 will almost certainly be "available" for ATT, but not with the 3G frequencies, or with ATT offering a subsidized price and "enhanced" rate plan.

But my question is for the engineers in the room. Exactly what would need to be done to the phone to equip it for ATT's 3G services? I assume it involves adding or replacing the radio to get a different set of frequencies, but is there much more to it than that?

Obviously there are business issues galore, but I'm really just asking about the technical difficulty of coming out with a phone that will support 3G on both TMO and ATT.
