Just rooted my EVO. Where can I find custom ROM's such as:
Myn2.2, Fresh Evo, Cyanogen...etc??

Are these web based programs that you download to your computer and then transfer to your phone?
Or is there an App that lets you search via your phone and download that way?

....I hear all the talk about these custom ROM's, just wondering where I can find them and how to install them on to my phone. (after I back everything up)

Any and all advice requested! Thanx!

...sorry for the noob question.

Here's a running list of all known Evo ROMs (it gets a little out of date from time to time):

HTC Supersonic/ROMs - XDA-Developers

Read the Rooting for Dummies guide sticky in this section for instructions on how to flash them. There *is* an app for browsing and downloading ROMs, but I don't recommend you go that route, as it can be buggy. It's called ROM manager, and it requires that you use Clockwork recovery.

how do you go about downloading ROMS by using ROM manager? (step by step)

I see there is a "backup current ROM" section. Is this the same as using titanium backup or a Nandroid backup?

'Backup current rom' would be a nandroid

Personally, I would flash all roms in recovery and not use rom manager at all to flash roms, kernels....

i personally do not use rom manager. i have used it once and that was to flash amon ra recovery. i do everything manually.
rom manager can be buggy and a lot of people who have used it have had issues with it. plus by doing things manually will get you more comfortable with using whatever recover you are currently using (most likely clockwork mod since rom manager is the front end of it) because there have been cases when you might get a bootloop or a corrupt rom and the only place you can go to is recovery.

do you need help on how to flash a rom? we could take you step by step through the process. it is pretty simple.

titanium backup should only be used to backup you apps or freeze and unistall apps as well.

a nandroid backup is a complete backup of your phone. you should always do a nandroid backup before you flash anything.
