Is this sufficient protection for my Droid?

Just switched to the Droid from the Eris and it's goin well so far.

I'm usually pretty careful with my phone, keep it in a pocket all by itself and don't usually put it in any sort of danger. I also have VZW insurance.

I bought the VZW clear plastic hard case (I'm assuming hard and soft both protect a similar amount) and the VZW screen protector. This should be sufficient to protect my phone from maybe a drop or two from waist height and accidental scratches?

Scratches, most likely, except for the soft buttons on the screen, the cover doesn't cover them. Drops, probably not. There's no cushion, it's just a hard plastic cover. The shock will be transmitted to the phone. Probably be okay if it lands on a flat surface of the phone, though the odds are pretty much the same as winning the lottery.....
