App to move Home-screen app icons around / App for assigning Ringtones

First some info...
LG Optimus T ; updated software and i'm an app whore.

I have a couple of the apps i use frequently on my home screen so i dont have to click the app button, scroll all the way down and select what i want... problem is that they are not necessarily asthetic where the droid placed them... i would like to move them around the home screen or to different screens (since there are like 7 you can access by L R scrolling)... is there an app or a way to do that?

Is there a way to delete the stock "demo" apps that are on the phone w/out having to root the phone? I could probably do it, but i'm not real comfortable trying it and trashing my phone.

Last: Is there an app that allows you to automatically assign ring-tones to contacts? The issue with assigning ring tones to contacts it seems is that you have to first assign them to the generic ring-tone so that it picks them up as available to assign to a contact when you open the contact book and edit... NOTE: you also can not assign custom tones to the notification sound... all i get are the 11 stock ones that are super annoying and make you want to toss your 400$ droid.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!
** EDIT **
I kind of feel like an idot... but i discovered that if you hold your finger down on the app button on the home screen you can either drag it to the trash bin at the bottom to remove it, or drag it around or to other screens where it will stay where you drop it (auto grid like windows).
Just call me a NOOB. But the demo-apps ect and the audio would be nice ;)

Just long press it, then you can move it where ever you want.

Rooting is the only way.

Download the Myxer app. You can get free ringtones, or create custom ringtones from the mp3s on your phone. regardless of whether your using their ringtones or one youve made, when you hit the save button, a box pops up.. theres a drop down menu thats lets you choose where to save the ringtones, either in ringtones, notifications, or alarm. save it in the folder your using that ringtone for. then go to the sound settings and change your phone call ringtone or notification ringtone.
