Hello forum,
I've just bought a new LG Optimus One a week ago, it's now my first Android and smartphone ever. it's an awesome phone and i've also downloaded a number of apps. Really enjoying it.

But a few days ago I wanted to change the stock 2gb SD(which always works) to a traxdata 4gb HC sd card (from my Nokia x3, it works on it). It wouldn't work on my LG.

So i formatted it (FAT32>FAT) + deleted all the files on it, I ran checkdisk and tried to repair the problems. No avail.
Then i put all the files from the 2gb card to the 4gb one (using nokia and PC)(The android files). Still not working.

On the notification bar it says: "SD-card removed. please insert a new card". So i went to settings>SD-card and phones memory>SD card, and saw the Mount SD card and format SD-card selections are gray and cant be clicked.

I've ran out options and have read hundreds of posts still not finding any solution.

So what you saying basically is that our device can't even see the microSDHC? Do you see "UDF:Unsupported File System" or "Blank SDCard"?

Put your old mSD card back in for test when it gets mounted then unmount it and removed it and then put back the new mSDHC. See what it says now as you should get message saying something if not then its not being read. I am sure the card is using same standard and is supported but visit vendors site and see if there is any issue.

Last but not least reboot it as blank SD card will be written to or you can use app to partition the device from recovery as not in Android. Which is another thread of its own as "erase" some times can't be clicked and other issues.

done that, still says SD card removed, and does not recognise it in any way and btw this mSD card is class 6. but thanks anyway for possible solutions.
