Is there a nintendo DS emulator about?

As title really, some of the DS games would work well on some of these phones I think.

There isn't a DS emulator which works well for Windows yet. We're a long way off getting one for Android to be honest.

NO$GBA works quite well for Windows.

I didn't expect the games would be that hard to run on these phones, the 2d ones at least, didn't think they'd be any more demanding than a decent snes rom really.

I didn't even think you could get DS games running on a pc, how do you use the touchscreen?

The DS has much lower grade specs than the PSP. 3D on the DS looks like crap compared to PSP. The 2 processors in the DS are only running at 67 MHz and 33 MHz. I think in theory there is enough power in the android phones to handle DS games. I imagine part of the reason it is difficult to emulate is the use of dual arm processors in the DS.

Emulation takes a lot of processing. NO$GBA works well but isn't efficient. We aren't getting anything that can play ds games for a couple years at least.

I own a Droid X,If I am able to play ps1 games on my phone there is no reason a DS emulator is not on its way. Most DS titles aren't that much more technical then ps1. (There are clear differences,)
but a couple years? Really..there is already a demo version of one at mobiles24.com.
I assume a ds emu is in the works as we speak,
The next line of droid phones are sure to have a slow glitchy version.
Gba and psx emus on my droid x work perfect.

Well, if I were you I'd go ahead and download Tiger Lab: Tiger Lab (nds demo emulator) - Android Application on the Android market

It is in fact a Nintendo DS emulator, though a very early prototype. I'd check it out.

Just gonna let you know that a DS is more than twice as powerful as a Nintendo 64 which is significantly more powerful than a PS1. There isn't even an N64 emulator on Android yet.

I guarantee that there exists plenty of PS1 games that will not work well on your Droid X. Like any emulator, it depends on the game and how far they pushed the original system.

I will also mention that PS1 emulators are very easy to get running even on old PC's. Most PS1 emulators were designed to run on old late-90's PC's. You can find some PS1 games that will run on a 500mhz pentium or less. DS not so much. No$gba is the fastest DS emulator and it still requires a hefty PC for many games (save basic 2D stuff). No$ is also a dead project and doesn't run many games well without hacks. Desmume is the best DS emulator for compatibility and requires a fast multicore modern PC.

It depends on the game. That goes for ANY system. But at any rate, using a system's performance on your device to justify the assumption on another system's performance is not a sensible argument.

What are you talking about? https://play.google.com/store/search?q=n64+emulator&c=apps granted, there are only 2 or 3, but I've used one and it works.
