Just a heads up. I just notice this today, and don't know if it was known. After upgrading to Dolphin Browser HD 4.4, I noticed long press copy & paste no longer worked. Checking the faqs on the website, states that you now have to click on the menu key and select copy/paste then click on what you want to copy???? uhg.....I had a previous a backup, and now its back working. Anyone know if this will be a permanent thing?

Update: I found this

http://blog.dolphin-browser.com/2011/02/15/new-style-select-text-updated-in-dolphin-hd-v4-4-beta/

It appears by adding the new style copy/select feature for non HTC devices, they broke the HTC sense copy & paste that we all enjoy.

I upgraded Dolphin over the weekend and copy/paste worked fine for me. I selected the text and 3 tabs popped up, I chose copy, and I was able to paste the text elsewhere.

Hi, Pool_shark. Are you using Dolphin browser HD or just the regular Dolphin Browser? What version do you have? Did you hold down the word, or have to use the menu?

I have Dolphin HD 4.4.0. I use the menu, select text, and you get a start and end quote. Pick the text you want and copy, search, or share. This is a much better option for cut/paste in my opinion.

Thanks for your response. I myself much prefer to long press the word I want to copy. Its much quicker for me then the new way. I was just giving a heads up to users that if they like the long press of copy & paste, then they might not want to upgrade to the newest one.

This is the copy/paste I can't live without. ^^^

I guess I never used cut/paste in Dolphin before this. You can create a gesture for it. It requires more steps, but it works. The update was great for me because the onscreen keyboard wouldn't allow input into the URL bar when in full screen mode on the Droid 2, now it does.

Duh....Thanks guys. Didn't realize they updated from 4.4.0 to 4.4.1. Back to working. You can close this thread.

It still didn't work for me. I instead went back to Version 4.3.0 after sending various emails to dolphin support. They tried thier best, but couldn't fix the issue for me. Maybe it's because I'm running 2.1 instead of Froyo, but I way prefer the HTC Copy and Paste.
