Hello all, Android noob here, this is my 1st Android phone. i've quickly discovered that the majority of the sites out there hosting stream-able video almost all seem to require flash, and after several searches here have also learned that my new Optimus V cannot install flash

that being said, does anyone have suggestions for legit sites that stream non flash content? I was mostly hoping to be able to catch up on news/watch the occasional hulu-like site, while riding the bus home from work, but again, that flash limitation seems to rule out most sites

Any suggestions? I was going to try the Skyfire web browser but that also doesn't seem to work well for flash, even though it claims too (?)

thanks, Dennis

Most sites that use flash for streaming can be loaded in skyfire. For the last couple days I have been using skyfire as my default browser and it is a little faster than the default. I also like the search options and the facebook integration. However flash support is still the biggest reason for Skyfire. Nothing like watching a little South Park right from comedy central when you get bored. :)

there are some sites that specifically block skyfire, like hulu. Not sure why anyone would want to watch the grammys but it sucks that it didn't work for you. Wasn't there a grammy app though? If they released their own app they probably blocked skyfire.

No, there was no Grammy app. Skyfire just doesn't handle some live streams, and that was one of them. The site wanted actual Flash, and there are other sites like it.
