Is this a real question? No there is not an invisible flash for the camera.can't find flash for camera. true? no flash? thanks.
The Optimus is currently on $50 more after rebate, and the camera is WAYYYYYYY better.... take it from me... I just had as ascend, and the camera sucked....video sucked...my mouth wasn't even movie with what I was saying, it was a lil delayed,, but the Optimus runs circles around the ascend.. the camera is amazing... LG made a way better camera.... so if you want a nice camera, just pay the 50 more, and you'll have a faster phone too, but no flash on the optimus either, but if you put it in night mode, it makes it a little brighter
The cheap Nikon takes better pictures than the Optimus and the price difference between the ascend and the optimus is about the same. ;}
can't find flash for camera. true? no flash? thanks.

I bring up two valid points, again.
1. This is a ~$100 phone, don't expect miracles or tons of features.
2. If you really need good quality pictures, even a $100 digital camera will take better pictures than your phone, so why are you using a phone to take important pictures?
Sorry if I'm a big meanie, but surely if the lady was smart enough to get on her smartphone, connect to the internet, find this forum, and leave a message, she could have looked at the back of her phone and saw there was no flash on there.Sorry but nope no flash.
Come on Gmash. Don't pick on the poor girl. Not everyone knows what a flash looks like on a cell phone. The salesperson (not knowing any better or not caring) may have told her that it had one when she bought it and she's looking for it and can't find it. She's obviously new to the forum and is here looking for help. Don't make her feel bad for asking something. The only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked. We're here to get help and help others when we can.
Blast. Thank you. We spent $100 for our phone and got a REALLY good deal for the money. And the camera isn't that bad for a phone. I've had far worse. Yes a flash would be nice but this is a phone first.

Point taken. That post was a month ago, and I have tried to cut back on the sarcasm since then.Or she could be a young girl (veggieGRRL, some names aren't totally fake) who was given the phone and like most 7 year olds these days knows how to use the internet (I was lucky to have a 2400 baud modem growing up, but I've seen 5 year olds that know how to surf the net). And this is the first cell phone (that had a camera) that didn't have a flash. I just assumed that it did (I was wrong of course). It wasn't until I actually used the camera and noticed there wasn't a flash setting that I actually looked for it. Oh well. That's why they make pure cameras to take really good pictures.
I just would hate for someone new here to be afraid to ask anymore questions. And for some people asking is the hardest thing to do in the world.
Lolmy fiance asked me if my phone had a flash while looking directly at the camera trying to get a speck of dirt off of it. lol.
i asked if her iphone 3gs had live wallpapers.
she threw my phone at me.
There are apps you can download to try and edit pictures, but I don't know the names or how well they work.
Picsay and Photofunia are my favorite apps. ^^.I was mad until I found an app called Picsay.....I works wonders.
