Infuse 4G = US Flavor of Galaxy S II?

I'm just curious if anyone has anything definite on this...

The original Galaxy S came to the U.S. in different flavors: The Captivate, Vibrant, Fascinate, and Epic 4G.

Is the Galaxy S 2 coming to the U.S. in the same way? (In other words, are they going to release a specific version for each carrier, each with features taken away from the original Galaxy S 2)?

Is that what the Infuse 4G is? The AT&T version of the Galaxy S 2?

(It's probably not, seeing as how the specs are so different... 4.5" vs. 4.3", 1x1.2 GHz vs. 2x1 GHz, etc. I'm just curious if anyone has heard anything definite about this.)

The Infuse is not the same as the Galaxy S II. The Infuse was announced at CES and comes with a 4.5" screen, bigger than the SGS2, only single core instead of dual-core, and does not have NFC or the fancy Exynos chip. It even looks different from the pictures, the sides and back. The Galaxy S (Vibrant/Captivate) 4G is also just a regular Galaxy S, with 4G. The Galaxy SL is a cheaper version of the Galaxy S with a downgraded LCD screen. There is also a rather ugly looking Galaxy 4G phone coming to Verizon that is different from the rest but I don't remember it having any outstanding features.

There's already a thread about it being on T-mobile. It was a mistake on their twitter account. Most likely it will be on all four major carriers in some form however. Since T-mobile doesn't have anything besides the relatively old Vibrant and G2, they are the most likely to get it first.

They also have MyTouch 4G, Nexus S and Optimus 2X is coming soon for them too.
