Why waste time complaining that the battery life is not like a blackberry. That's like trading in Caddy CTS for a Lade and complain the SUV that does more don't get the same gas mileage and you don't understand why.

News flash!!!

The Hero is not a blackberry!!!

I used to have a BB also and I had to charge that everynight also. My BB might have lasted a couple more hours, but I'll make that sacrifice for the overall awesomeness of this phone.

My BB Curve's battery would last 3 or 4 days without charging. The Hero goes one day.

Do you know why the BB lasted that long? Because I didn't use it for anything but phone calls and reading email. The Hero gets a real workout in comparison -- browsing, apps, games, etc, etc.

Battery life on my Pearl could go a day or two without needing to be recharged, but considering what the hero is and what it can potentially become, I'm perfectly fine with charging it everynight.

I personally don't see the need for a phone to last more than a day. Mine will last from 8am till about 8 or 9pm with heavy usage.

When I airplane mode over night on weeknights when I sleep (who wants a phone call in the middle of the night on a weeknight). I lose 1-2% of battery in 7-8 hours time.
Simple math says this works and more based on my experience.

Sounds plausible - however battery drain and reserve capacity are rarely linear with respect to time - unless you're manufacturing for NASA.
