Looks of G1

Hi

Set apart the (Google OS)software of the Tmobile (htc made) G1. How many of you liked the look of the G1 phone.

What do you think abt the phone?

Might want to rethink your poll question a bit? It seems the poll choices are a bit leading:

I hate the looks of G1 (Negative)
I really liked how the phone looks (Really positive)
It doesn't look professional (Negative)
Looks like a baby phone (because of those round corners and buttons) (Negative)
Looks doesnt matter ,since the OS is android (Neutral)

So, 3 negatives, one neutral and one really positive. Not really a fair distribution of questions, and that will most likely affect your outcome.


As for the look of the phone, I like it. I don't see it as "ugly" or "really ugly" like some folks do. Honestly, I don't even know how they could say that? It's not a supermodel, but it certainly doesn't qualify for "ugly".

opinion about a poll(which again is used to find opinion)... anyway thats really funny and recursive...

I have given the user to choose multiple choices ...

about the phone .. I feel that htc could have done better... atleast I felt that they would make it like diamond.. sleek,black,...

but thats my taste ...

actually I even made my version of this phone a little while back

heh, I think you were being a little optimistic with your specs there.

Anyway, I'm not voting in the poll because none of the answers really capture how I (and it seems a lot of others) feel about the phone. It's not ugly, per se, but relative to the HD or touch pro, it's a little disappointing. It's certainly not a phone that I would want if it weren't for Android. However, considering Android and the fact that I am well past due for a new phone, I did go ahead and pre-order.

About the phone G1. I think we all agree that as far as looks go, it really doesn't bring much new to the table.
It has a track ball and keyboard that reminds me of the sidekick and the overall look of the phone can easily be mistaken with the Instinct. It is really plain and not exactly what would have been my design choice. I wouldnt call it UGLY.....it just has a lack of sex-apeal. heh
On the other hand, its design isnt really a problem anyway and I think the Android OS and all its qualities make up for the lack of "looks".

Thats why i pre ordered and im dying to receive it.

its sad that there is no video recording in the G1.... anyway I will wait for samsung to release their android phone... one thing is for sure there will be a lot of memory inbuilt in samsung phones...

I can understand that folks like video, but for me, I think that video is over-rated. I've had it on my phone for a long time now and I rarely ever use it. You can go ahead and wait, but in the meantime, I'll be playing with my G1.

I dont get why Tmobile,htc didnt include video recording.. almost all phone that has camera has this... I think maybe its making android os slow... I heard the camera is very slow in G1,maybe thats the reason...

Anyway those who buy now are actually supporting the android phone.. so that people like me can buy when all the problems are rectified...

I've found that most rumors about cell phones are generally false, and following someone else's guess on a phone that hasn't been released doesn't strike me as the best method of research. That's why it's a good idea to take advantage of the 14 day trial to see if it's really "all that". Like I've said before, the only review that really counts is my own, not some random dude on the intertubes.

Good luck with your "sleek and cheap", maybe there will be a model released soon that meets your needs.

Sleebus, why do you have to go and spout logic? Don't you know that's illegal on the internets? The interwebs on exist for rumors and pron.

I figure if the G1 sucks beyond belief, I can always trade it in for a Wing. That said, it's going to have to really suck for me to switch to a Wing.
