App for using phone as a web cam

I've been searching the market place, but can't find any web cam software for Android phones. I'm not talking about viewing web cams, and I'm not talking about tethering my phone to my PC as a USB cam, I'm talking about streaming video from my phone with an IP address anyone can see. Does anyone know of software like that?

Thanks!

Seigex,
Thanks for your quick answer. Unfortunately, that's not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an app that will turn the Evo into a webcam without the need for a PC. You turn it on, it reports it's IP address to you, and you can send that out to all your friends so they can view you on the webcam. Not P2P software like Qik or Fring, but a genuine webcam without the need for a PC.

Tell us the difference between what you're looking for and Qik. Then someone might be able to help you better.

With Qik, you start recording a public stream, then you send Username on Qik | 9 videos recorded with mobile phones to all your friends and they can watch you live. Just like a webcam. Is that not what you're looking for?

Sorry where it said "i'm not looking for an app to tether and use as a webcam," i thought it said "i am looking for..."

My bad.. but yeah either Qik or ustream should do what you want

Ok, thanks, I'll try Qik. Does it run through Qik's server? I was hoping for a direct connection to the phone, but maybe this will work. Thanks for the replies, guys, I appreciate it!

Oh, and "...your super exciting activities..." ROFL. I wish! This will be goofy faces for nieces & nephews, not hang gliding the Grand Canyon.

I've tried it. Qik is pretty close, but there is very high latency (could be caused by the phone, though it isn't nearly as bad with Fring to Skype) and requires a registration on their server. I'm just looking for something like an Android-based verion of YAWCAM (Yawcam - Yet Another Webcam Software). No registration, no central server, just a straight-up old school peer to peer port 80 connection. Until I find something like that, though Qik is a pretty good second choice.

IP WebCam is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks! I just tested it over Sprint's 3G network and it works perfectly. I wish there was an option to use the front facing camera so that the kick stand would hold the camera in place, but that's a small gripe. I knew that this phone was capable of it!
Thanks.

I tried IP Webcam, and it works well over a local wifi network, but I can't get it to work over Sprint's network. The app has a FAQ that says that Sprint might be using NAT, and to ask them for an external IP. So I'm surprised you had it working without asking Sprint to do anything.

Any insight on how to get IP Webcam running over Sprint 3G?

IP Webcam is not intended to run over phone networks (although it does work sometimes, but jerkily). WiFi is recommended.
