FYI if your rom(s) is/are running slow.. go in to settings / audio and video setting / max frame drop.. set it to 4.. and things should speed up

I'm ignoring the troll thread (n64oid=junk) and posting here.
I tried Extreme-G 2, one of my favorite N64 games... and it's unplayable on a Samsung Epic. That's pretty sad... but it's also a pretty intense game. I would have been shocked it it ran well.
Well I can't say I'm TOO surprised that the atrix runs it that well. I thought the Epic's GPU was still one of the best, but it seems the dual-core CPU helps a ton as well.
Once the race starts, my game drops to about 10 frames a second or something along those lines. Changing frame-skip to 4 doesn't help.
I eagerly await a tegra 2 phone with a keyboard to come to Sprint...
I'm pretty sure this won't be utilising the GPU, most Emus don't, which would explain why a dualcore is so much better...
Put it this way, if we can make use of the GPU in emulators, then we can put PS2 and XBox emulator on most mid to high end android smartphone. Even XBox 360 emulator might be possible for some of the higher end android smartphone using Tegra 2 chip-sets.
So has anyone noticed a big difference between playing n64oid on a rooted and non-rooted phone?
Not a chance in hell for any of the above, keep dreaming.
I will be MORE than happy with a Dreamcast emu...that will be just too much. I know there is one in the works but not much news lately...just imagine. Skies of Arcadia on your phone...or Code Veronica or Grandia 2...or Daytona! Gosh the possibilities.

Technically it is very possible, see this anandtech article:

So have some faith, maybe in the not too distant future, a developer will be brave enough to port a optimized version of a XBox or PS2 emulator to Android.
You need many times the CPU power for emulation, it's possible with older consoles because the hardware they used is so much slower.
xbox for example I think used a 733MHz intel processor and Geforce 4 (or simalar), theres no way current phones will be able to emulate this at an reasonable speed, also the tegra 2 chip is great for a mobile GPU but it still doesnt come close to raw performance of these consoles.
We may get a Dreamcast or PS2 emulator at some point over the next year but don't expect anything more unless we have some major hardware upgrades.
Indeed the history of emulation is unfortunately not on his side.@gordon1hd1
Your optimistic, i'll give you that.
Is anyone else having this problem: after about 20 seconds of holding two buttons (like the analog stick and A on the touch screen) they stop working for about 10 seconds. This pretty much limits my racing game compatability. Holding one seems fine, but both together causes it to sort of time out. Suggestions?
