Spawned from this thread:

To see any potential dust, turn OFF the screen, clean it with a lint-free cloth, put it under a bright light or in the sun. Look for any specks under the glass.

It might be a good idea to take this survey after you have carried it for a few days.

Here are the survey criteria:

Have Dust, I carry phone in my pocket with "no protection"
Have Dust, I carry phone inside the condom that came with the phone
Have Dust, I carry phone in a holster/pouch/purse/"European"
No Dust, I carry phone in my pocket with "no protection"
No Dust, I carry phone inside the condom that came with the phone
No Dust, I carry phone in a holster/pouch/purse/"European"

Perhaps this information may be helpful to us later to getting a resolve (one can always hope). Having paid almost $600, I was just hoping for a phone with a better seal/gasket...

Maybe dust is leaving the galaxy swirl on your wallpaper, try using the water one instead!

Wouldn't recommend this. Water damage voids the warranty.

I was dust free until I got my case in the mail. It's one of those silicon-ish cases that fit over the back from eBay.

One day of using the case and not being in the pouch = lots of dust near the bottom of the screen. I see it everytime I'm about to start texting someone. The text-reply box highlights the dust for me. :(
