OK , Woosh, give this a try and let me know how it works out. As I said, I'm somewhat limited in what I can do at this kind of size, but I think overall it came out pretty well.

Make sure you save the full 2616x1920 resolution version. On the linked page, use the magnifying glass, download, or share buttons.

I stumbled upon this (and assuming you didn't already have an idea), maybe something like this?

Yeah, I thought of that - but what to do to make it unique?

I'm working on something, but I'm not sure it will really work. We'll see...

Thats what I was trying to think of as well.
I thought of shelves, but I don't put icons on my homescreen. There goes idea #1
I tried to think of something to put my widgets on to "integrate" them with the background, but I'm not sure what. Idea #2 = Too vague
Furniture is always good, but what would I put on that? Idea #3 = useless

Moving past my fails, I'm eager to see what you come up with. :p

OK Toasty, I have no idea what you'll think of the concept, but, well, here it is.

I do believe the sheer epicness of that wallpaper just melted my brain. (Much like most math does. xD)
Now I have to figure out, where should my widgets go.

I'm also trying to figure out if a carpet would look better then the gravel. Any input? :p

Glad you like it. Personally, I like the surreal feel the gravel gives it - Not to mention I'm not so sure I could even put carpet in there...

True enough, it does look like it would be quite a pain.
(One last thing) Where would you suggest placing widgets? Over the picture on the wall would obstruct it (which I don't want to do), but I'm not sure where else to place them.
I can pull my previous screenshot if you need a look at the widgets I'm using currently.

Huh... You know what? Stupidly, I made it without thought of your widgets. Frankly, I don't have the foggiest where the hell they should go. :p;)

The window area (It's not supposed to be a picture. Damn it, I knew I should have made panes :p) can be resized vertically (taller, shorter, up or down) if that would help. Horizontally, not so much. Just let me know.

Hm, I'm still not sure of I would want to obstruct the view with widgets, but I have no idea where else they would go. :/

Wait, on second thought, inspiration just hit me.
The globe in the center, maybe we could have rays of light (those rays that start out small near the source, and grow as they go "forward", I can try to find a picture if you need clarification) coming out from the globe to somewhere on the wallpaper, and I could line up my widgets with those rays. It would give it the effect that the widgets are coming out from the globe, which I think would look really nice.

So, do you mean something like this?

Indeed I did, but as always, I accidentally left out details. >.<
I was thinking a little more transparent, enough to be visible but not so much that it obstructs the rest of the wallpaper.
Also, I'll only need 3 (for my 3 main screen widgets) and since I line them up in a row like:
Time
Date
Weather
would there be a way to do the rays like that?
Sorry I always forget something. >.<

If you want to hold off for a little bit (so I don't make you do unneeded work) I'm going to play around with the original for a bit, and see if I can figure something out with just that. In case this doesn't work.

hi! i'm currently using a plain-ish wallpaper and a picture frame widget so i can always see my dogs but i want to try having my dogs as part of the wallpaper for my main screen. i have 5 screens total so the the two screens to the left and right i'd want to just have the pattern. is that kinda confusing? hopefully you can help, i will very much appreciate it! here's the pics: IMG00734-20100506-0153 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

also, could you cut out the background in my dogs pic and just have the dogs put into the swirly background?

Thank you very much again!!

ps. i have a mytouch 4g.. thanks again!!!

Sure, I can do that. Just to make sure I've got this right - you want that linked background as the main wallpaper, the dogs in a picture frame centered on that, and the dogs in a new background in that frame, right?

I can't seem to find a layout that works on the original background, and the more I think about it the more I realize the light rays wouldn't work either. >.<
This is certainly quite a challenge. Hopefully we can figure out something though, I really like this wallpaper.

Well, good thing I didn't already revise it then...;)

I guess my problem trying to help out here is that I really don't know how you want to integrate what widgets. If you PM me screenshots of what you want to use where, maybe I can shuffle 'em around and see if I can figure something out (maybe not). Then again, it just may not work the way you want it to.

i don't want them in a picture frame, that's kind of what i have right now. i just want them on the swirly background somehow.. minus the background that they're in right now (the bed). i just want it to be the dogs and the swirly background because i feel that the original background of the original dog picture takes the focus away from them. i hope that clarifies it. thanks again!!

Ok, Tamosaur, let's see if this is what you're talking about. Let me know what you think.

To save it at 960x800, use the download button on the linked page or the share button to email it to an address accessible on your phone, then save the attachment. If your phone wont save it full size, or it looks fuzzy, download and save it with a computer, then USB or email the full sized version to your phone.

Edit: Here's an alt. version by request.

Hmm, since the last wallpaper didn't work out so well (still disappointed about that :/) maybe another one like this? Not necessarily winter, since thats over, but the same general theme, indoor scene with a view outdoors.

Hmmm... Not really my specialty, but I'll see what I can do.
