Handheld GPS

I've tried AndNav, and that does indeed work in the UK

But its more of a satnav app, as opposed to a handheld gps

I was thinking of something where I can input various waypoints and get a direction arrow/compass and distance to each, for fell walking for example

Take a look at "A2B" then ... it is not geared for waypoint in a single route ... but mutliple points could be set as waypoints and then once you go from A to B, Then B becomes your new "A" and you select your next "B"...

If your looking for a FULLY functioning SatNav application for your Android phone, it has to be ALK Technologies Copilot Live 8. This app is bursting with all the functions that you should be looking for in a SatNav app, but in the convenience of your mobile phone. What's more the version of CoPilot for the iPh*ne (version 7) is rubbish.

I have now been using the application for the last five days and feel it's

Got a reply from them regarding my question (when will their SW be available for Europa, etc). Apparently, they will eventually sell their SW on DVD through their business partners (like Expansys, etc).

As for other SW, telenav works real good (but costs a fortune). I could never get AndNav to work ok (always got the "3 retries" message) since it can't handle quite a lot of adresses in a satisfactory way.

Even tough Nav4All lacks a map GUI, it works very well and is what i personally will continue to use until CoPilot becomes available (where you have all map data offline).
