hi, im just wondering if anyone has used this sleeve for their droid..

Enter your location

im looking for something to slip my droid into since im keeping it naked and still wanting to being able to slide it in my pocket - i just want to make sure it won't fall out TOO easily and whatever else you guys can tell me.
or if there are any other better sleeves out there?

thanks!

yeah the sena looks awesome, and in all those different colors (but i'd still go with the black)..

that ebay one sure is cheap lol, guess thats tempting.

i just wonder how well these hold the phone in , looks like the sena is very well-made for this phone though :x

ooo the white and silver look really nice too!! but so does the pdair ;p hmm...

I have the pdair slip in. I really like it. I can even slip the phone in with the Verizon plastic case on the phone.

are you able to slip it into your pocket still? and does the phone easily slip out of it or do you actually have to pull .. i just dont want it slipping out as easily as my pocket.

whats the inside made out of?

I bought the suede sleeve mentioned above from Waterfield.

http://www.sfbags.com/products/droid-suede-jacket/droid-suede-jacket.htm

It's cheap and I like it, exactly what I wanted. Lightweight, doesn't add any bulk, snug, shipped quickly. The owner of the store even emailed me to ask how I found the store, anything else I need, etc.

Provides little extra protection if dropped, perhaps a little, but I'm not concerned about that for my usage.

Only downside is the shipping charges are almost as much as the sleeve. But still cheap overall, or just order some other stuff on there (I bought my wife one for her iPhone).

This is what I've been using...it was made for the G1 but fits the Droid perfect and is not bulky, fits into my pocket perfect. I chose it because I like to carry my Droid naked also.

That is the one I'm using. It is very well made and kind of a dark brown. It has a solid "plate" in the front and back to protect the face. It is pretty easy to get the phone out and it is loosening up as I use it.

Yeah, I'm kind of liking the sleeve. Like the option to have a pocket in the back for my id/cards etc.. I hate carrying a wallet these days, especially with keys in one pocket and my droid in another..

Wow you cant beat the Sena one, its dead sexy! Pewter....mmmmm.

yeah, i keep going back to the sena's because of how beautiful they look and how its 'ultrathin zero bulk' with a soft interior..

so far from what i've read is that --
verizon's sleeve = cheapest alternative, protective (harder faceplates on each end to protect screen)
pdair = very nicely made and very good grip on phone, downside may be the rougher interior (but not damagable to phone) (lots of these sleeves will actually clean ur screen when u insert/remove it)
sena = beautiful, but have yet to hear anything else .. hoping someone out there uses one?
droid suede jacket = very thin, really no protection if thats what your looking for, simple.

if someone can chime in on the sena sleeves (refer to link above) - i would like to know if the phone is nice and snug inside it. if it is, it's gonna be a buy for me.

thx for those who commented !!

if you go down to the shipping options and it says $2 shipping for sleeves only. i just ordered mine with the pocket and it was $16 after tax ad $2 shipping. i think you accidentally didnt select shipping for the sleeve, it was a bit confusing. o well. lol

just an update - i got my sena case (black) and it is better than i could imagine. very classy - comes in a Sena box with the sleeve inside and under it is a 'pouch' with the ropes that tighten the top - im assuming for just extra protection if u plan on doing something like biking -- and its made just for the motorola droid.

the quality (which will catch a person's eye when you pull it out) of the leather which feels so good in the hand and when they say its the thinnest genuine leather sleeve w/ zero bulk they are not lying because it seems so thin yet so protective. the inside is layered with a soft velvet like material that cleans the screen from any smudges or fingerprints when u slide it in. It also is very snug when you first get it (says so in the instructions to use it for aboutu 5 days and it'll be perfect), so a few days passed and it is perfectly snug yet easily accessable. i highly recommend it if you want protect your phone in your pocket or bag -- the price is a bit more than others (30$) but worth it in my opinion with the way those cases are for this phone :x i just love the droid naked and this adds a level of protection and looks.

here's the link if your interested -- many colors to choose from.

I want a piece of crap one like the one that's shipped with the N1. Do you all know where I can get one of those? I don't feel like spending a bunch of $$$ on it nor do I want to look like a douche carrying around a fake leather pouch for my "oh-so" expensive phone. I just want to put it in a soft pouch.

i bought this one, i felt the same as you. i wanted a nexus one sleeve because i love that little android sign. but i got this one, and love it.

i think u have to see it / hold it in person before you get the idea that this sleeve is sexy as hell :) in terms of money, i think thats a no-brainer considering phones are so expensive, mineswell have something nice to put it in to hold it ;p
